About Us

We've done a lot of travelling, from walking holidays in Wales to self-drive safaris through Africa, rail journeys through Europe to narrow boating on the UK canals.

All these trips have had their memorable moments, but the times when we have felt most at home (away from home) have been when we've based ourselves in a holiday home and explored the local area.

We've stayed in some amazing places, and when we were lucky enough to be able to purchase a Grade II listed cottage we had fallen in love with, we decided we should turn it into the sort of holiday home we love to stay in.

Thus was born Amatis Holiday Cottages, where we aim to offer comfort and the feeling of being at home - we believe this makes for the most relaxing holiday.

We're a small family business, currently with only one cottage (in Dursley, on the edge of the Cotswolds). We have plans to add more historic and/or quirky properties, although the Covid pandemic has put this on hold for the moment.

Our whole family (mum, dad, two kids) has had an input into Amatis Holiday Cottages, from choosing character furniture and interesting pictures to put on the walls, to selecting books for the shelf and games for everyone to play. We're so pleased to be able to share our holiday home with you, and we hope you'll love it as much as we do.
